A life devoted to music

Alejandro Saiz's activity has led him to important festivals and concert halls. He has given recitals and concerts in Spain, Italy, Japan, United States, Germany, Zimbabwe, Morocco, etc., performing at Madrid National Music Auditorium, Juan March Foundation, Segovia International Festival, Santander International Festival, Conde Duque Auditorium, San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts , Marcelino Botín Foundation, Salamanca Liceo Theater, Francisco Tárrega International Festival, Málaga Philharmonic Society, Badajoz Philharmonic Society, Berlin Mendelssohn Gesellschaft, Kulas Recital Hall and Harare International Festival of the Arts, among many others.

He has also performed as soloist with orchestra works by Bach, Vivaldi, Brahms, Sarasate, Rodrigo and Williams, and has recorded extensively for Spanish National Radio, Spanish Television and Telecinco.

As part of his orchestral experience he gains a tenure position at Radio Televisión Española Symphony Orchestra (OSRTVE), one of two major Spanish orchestras, getting first place at international selection auditions. On a leave of absence, as a member of this orchestra he has recorded more than 15 CDs, broadcast a large number of concerts and TV programs and worked with conductors such as Walter Weller, Pinchas Steinberg, Eliahu Inbal, Sergiu Comissiona, Leopold Hager, Helmut Rilling, Yuri Ahronovitch, Aldo Ceccato, David Shallon, Jesús López Cobos and many others.

He has also collaborated with Real Filharmonia de Galicia and Principado de Asturias Symphony Orchestras, among others. He has been concertmaster of Arche Chamber Orchestra, Schola Camerata, La Mancha Symphony Orchestra, Sax-Ensemble and the Spanish National Ensemble for Contemporary Music (ENEMC), with which he has performed regularly at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid.

He carries out intense work as first violin of Ars Hispanica String Quartet (www.arshispanica.com) (facebook/Cuarteto-Ars-Hispanica), considered by specialized critics as "one of the best chamber music groups existing in Spain". Having recorded DVDs and CDs for RTVE-Music and Marcelino Botín labels, they have been nominated as Finalists for best classical album at the 6th Arts and Music Science Academy Awards.
